Open channels for feedback & data auditing

Whether you are an individual verifying an automated payslip or a school business manager auditing part-time contract metrics, your feedback directly shapes the next release. If you have identified a data edge case, want to request a specialist calculator sub-module, or simply have a question about a number on screen, use one of the verified channels below.

Calculation audits & bug reports

Spotted a discrepancy in a specific tax code, NI threshold or devolved pension tier? Send the engineering inbox a structured breakdown of the inputs, expected outcome and actual outcome so the fix can be reproduced in the test suite before shipping.

General & compliance enquiries

Reach out here for partnership conversations, media verification, press enquiries or general questions about the site-wide data privacy posture. We respond personally — no autoresponders.

Communication guidelines & response timelines

SalaryGrid.uk is an independent web utility maintained by a single engineering author. There are no automated call centres or generative support bots in the loop — every ticket is read by a human, triaged manually and routed straight into the codebase's issue tracker when it identifies a real defect.

  • Diagnostic calculation tickets are acknowledged within 2 business days and resolved or escalated to a known-issue tracker within 5 business days.
  • Data corrections (a band edge, a TPS / SPPA tier boundary, a pay-scale point) are released in the next scheduled deployment after verification against the relevant statutory document — usually within a week.
  • When filing a math bug, please include the calculator route, the inputs you used (anonymise where you prefer), the expected output, the actual output and the browser you tested in. Screenshots speed up reproduction substantially.
  • No personalised tax advice. The calculator surfaces statutory math, not regulated financial advice. For Self-Assessment filings, complex personal allowances or non-PAYE income, please consult a qualified independent financial adviser (IFA) or UK accountant.

Privacy & data handling

Email correspondence is retained only for as long as it takes to resolve a ticket and any follow-up needed to close the loop. Salary figures and tax-code information shared inside a support thread are never reused for marketing, never shared with third parties, and are deleted on request. Read the full privacy policy for the canonical retention rules.
